About

If you have stumbled upon our corner of the web, you are most likely the parent, teacher, grandparent, or caregiver to either a preschooler or toddler, and are looking for information about teaching your child from home.

Right?

(I know what they say happens when you assume, but I gotta good feeling about this!)

If you answered yes, you have come to the right place!

Hi, I'm Annie and I'm a wife, boy mom, and writer who loves traveling with my family and trying fun new things with my (almost) 5-year-old and 2-year-old. Since my background is not in education (but broadcast journalism), I am by no means an expert when it comes to teaching your kids from home, but I am always looking for new things to try with my boys and love sharing what we are doing as well!

Here is exactly what you will find here at Preschool @ Home: Tips, tricks, and ideas from different moms for teaching your preschool-age child from home, whether it be simple (and fun!) science projects, how to use the Montessori approach, or finding a new book series to enjoy together.

Here is what you will not see here: A one-size fits all approach to learning and teaching... every family, child, and situation is different, and there is no one and done way to teach, which can be both a burden and a blessing!

If you are looking for practical ideas for teaching your preschooler (whether you are homeschooling or are looking to supplement at home), we are confident that you will find something new here at Preschool at Home.

Keep on keeping on, mom and dad - and thanks for letting us walk along side you!
